After news broke that director Seth Grahame-Smith was no longer directing Warner and DC Comics’ The Flash due to “creative differences,” a rumor started circulating — originally at Birth.Movies.Death. — that Aquaman director James Wan (Furious 7, Saw, The Conjuring) was “feeling a tremendous amount of trepidation about Aquaman” and might also depart DC’s extended universe.

Now James Wan is back from wrapping up his work on The Conjuring 2 and tweeted the sarcastically casual photo above in response to these rumors. Everybody try to look busy, daddy seems angry…

Do not make James Wan turn this car around. Or leave that creepy puppet in our beds while we sleep.

Wan was quick to point out that, even though it seems apparent he hasn’t quit his job, people shouldn’t attack the writer who originally reported the rumor at Birth.Movies.Death.

So if anybody was worried about not getting to see what the director of the glorious, proudly idiotic masterpiece Furious 7 could do with an Aquaman movie, you can be chill like Jason Momoa. Oh man, I can’t wait for the scene where Aquaman flexes so hard and fast (and furious!) that he heals his own injuries.
