Jared Leto’s Juggalo Joker Might Be Showing Up In ‘Batman V Superman’

Yesterday, we learned from some super sneaky photos that Ben Affleck paid a visit to the set of Suicide Squad in Toronto, and everyone is naturally assuming that it means Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman will be appearing in David Ayer’s DC film. Of course, thanks to some similar (spoiler-y) news in January, the new set photos shouldn’t surprise anyone, because we already knew that the plan was for Batfleck’s butt chin to wind up in Suicide Squad. How big will his role be? No clue. We might actually have to watch to find out.

But now, in a twist so shocking that the Penguin’s monocle almost shattered, the rumor royalty at Latino Review suggests that Jared Leto will also be appearing in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

This past week, David Ayer revealed his version of the Clown Prince of Gotham, and now we’ve learned that Leto’s presence in Toronto as the Joker will end up serving both films. A few weeks ago I’d heard murmurs of a flashback sequence that had supposedly been added to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where we’d see Jared Leto’s Joker beating and killing Jason Todd, aka Robin. I chose to sit on it until there was more information. (Via Latino Review)

In this case, “more information” is that LR has “heard that the Batmobile has been spotted in Toronto as well.” I’m not really sure how that qualifies as proof, but the flashback sounds like a pretty cool scene to link the two films (if that is even necessary), so it could certainly happen. After all, there have been crazier ideas. I once heard that Robin was a girl.
