The Jean-Claude Van Damme Kill Count Proves That A Tornado Kick Is Still The Best Way To Go

We’ve relived quite a few action hero death streaks today, what with the amazing look at Arnold’s action triumph in Commando and now this latest installment in the kill count video series. We’ve seen Schwarzenegger and Stallone get their due before, leaving Jean-Claude Van Damme to get the spotlight shined his way. Much like other action icons, Van Damme has a storied record early on in his career, with several films actually proving to be entertaining to watch. Then later, he descends into the realm of straight-to-video releases and low budget snooze fests, but he doesn’t stop killing on screen.

The constant seems to be Van Damme’s ability to kick his foes to death, sending several to their graves with grace and ferocity in mid-air. From Bloodsport to Street Fighter, he dispatches enemies (not always killing them) with his trademark moves. Also included is how Van Damme killed dancing in Kickboxer, something we’ve covered numerous times before, but never loses its interesting qualities.

The clip is 30 minutes, so grab some popcorn (or at least just stop watching once you get to Van Damme’s later works). It’s nice work, and the soundtrack is pretty badass, so enjoy.
