By now, we all know how Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s “Lie Witness News” segment works. Kimmel sends a correspondent out with a list of ridiculous questions, and lays them onto unsuspecting people on the street. The dumbest answers are edited together, and voila: A compilation of stupidity is born.
Some of these answers are so bad, it’s hard not to think the questions are dubbed in afterwards. Then you get exchanges like this one with a lovable stoner-type:
“What did you think of Meryl Streep’s performance in Too Stoned to Function?”
“I didn’t know she was in that movie, but I’m too stoned to function, so that’s pretty funny.”
It’s nearly impossible to fabricate an exchange like that.
