The story of Kevin Doyle swept across the Internet and touched a lot of folks ahead of the big Star Wars panel at Comic-Con. Doyle made the 645-mile trek to San Diego from Petaluma, California this past month and ended up at the convention just in time to see the cast and crew of The Force Awakens on stage. But the real special moment happened at the end of the panel when Doyle received a standing ovation from those in attendance at Hall H:

And soon an entire procession of Stormtroopers entered the event hall to take fans to the special concert happening outside:

Which apparently had one spot left open at the head of line for Doyle to lead the group out. There’s reportedly video floating around,  but there are plenty of image showing Doyle at the head of the Stormtrooper contingent for now. It’s hard to think of a nicer moment for someone who set out to pay tribute to a person he loved dearly. And then he also got to take in the show, which apparently wasn’t half bad.
