Magic Mike XXL isn’t even in theaters yet, but the porn parody — elegantly titled Magic Mike XXXL: A Hardcore Parody — already has a trailer. The movie, which was created for Wicked Pictures by Brad Armstrong and mixes together story from the first film as well as what he’s learned from the trailers, is a high-budget feature that’s being marketed toward a female audience. And yes, there are dance numbers. Lots and lots of dance numbers. More dance numbers than you’ve ever really imagined a triple-x feature to have, really, which is kind of an awesome feat.
Don’t worry, the trailer’s safe for work! The movie? Not so much.
If you’re wondering what the movie’s about, the plot is easy to follow: Mike and the gang decide to take their lucrative stripping careers into the porn arena. Romance and dialogue (and other things) ensue. Also, there’s a scene where someone hits his head really hard because of a viagra overdose, so that’s going to be amazing. (I know this because I visited the set of the movie and watched the guy hit his head over and over to get it juuuuuust right.)
The parody’s out July 1st (the same day as the official sequel) and considering how popular the Magic Mike sequel’s going to be, it’s probably safe to say that this DVD will be stripped from the shelves and played at bachelorette parties all over North America. (But you know, only for the dialogue and dance numbers.)
