Mark Ruffalo Reveals Why The Hulk Isn’t In ‘Captain America: Civil War’

We heard rumors back in May that Mark Ruffalo would return as Hulk in Captain America: Civil War, then Ruffalo said Robert Downey, Jr. told him he was in the script. Then, last month, Ruffalo was spotted partying with Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, and Daniel Brühl in Berlin, near the set. So, it appeared a Hulk cameo in Civil War was all but assured.

Now Mark Ruffalo says he was originally going to be in the movie, but he won’t be after all. (Assuming this isn’t a ruse so his cameo will surprise us.) Ruffalo tells Italian website BadTaste.it:

[translated from Italian by Coming Soon] “The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War). I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where is he and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.”

Awww, we have to keep waiting to see the Hulk again? This makes us want to go on a long walk…
