It was at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con that Quentin Tarantino officially announced his decision to move forward with production on The Hateful Eight. After his first appearance at the convention in 2012, Tarantino won an Oscar for his film Django Unchained.

Today, The Weinstein Company announced the writer/director — and occasional actor — will be returning to Hall H at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 to promote his highly anticipated new Western:

The dais will be a full one: The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern. The plot revolves around what happens when eight travelers are caught in a Wyoming snowstorm and take refuge at a remote stagecoach stopover.

According to the announcement, the panel presentation will “include a discussion with Tarantino and the cast about the film, its roadshow release in 70 mm and a promise of new footage.” Tarantino’s eighth feature film will hit theaters everywhere on Christmas Day.
