Add Rebel Wilson to the list of people who are not fans of the Kardashians. During an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Australia’s KIIS 1065 FM on Wednesday, Wilson recalled having been asked to present an award with Kendall and Kylie Jenner at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August. Wilson matter-of-factually told the radio hosts that she was decidedly not into the idea, though.

I got asked to present with Kendall and Kylie at the recent MTV VMAs, and I said no, I said I’ll do it myself. I just… there’s something that, I mean, not that you hate any of them individually, but there’s something that what they stand for is totally against what I stand for. Like, they seem a bit superficial, and their careers aren’t really based on talent. And I know they’re super popular, but I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am.

The Pitch Perfect star went on to give an example, reasoning that while Kim Kardashian got famous from her sex tape, Wilson herself “went to acting school and worked really hard.” Which is a completely valid point! However, given that Wilson’s solo appearance at the VMAs did not go so great, maybe she could have actually used Kylie and Kendall to lessen the negative impact.
