Considering all the talent involved, from writers Paul Feig and Katie Dippold to stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones, there’s almost no way the Ghostbusters reboot will be bad (that’s what I’m telling myself, at least). The same can’t be said for another gender-flipped remake: Clueless, with Alicia Silverstone’s Cher being played by Seth Rogen.

Or Jake Gyllenhaal. Or Bradley Cooper. Or Paul Dano.

Thankfully, it’s only a fake audition, put together by the Scene, which asked the four leading men to read lines from the debate class scene. None of the fellas, save for Rogen, seem particularly invested in Cher’s speech about Haitians, and garden parties, and how it does not say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty. Dano, in particular, sounds like he’s in befuddled pain.

He was really hoping to sing “Rollin’ with the Homies.”
