Sigourney Weaver Will Cross Streams With The ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot

Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters has been filming this summer, which means we’ve been finding out about old school cameos as the actors are spotted on set. We recently learned that Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson have taken roles in the reboot, and now we’ve learned that Sigourney Weaver, who played Dana Barrett, is also returning. Director Paul Feig took a break from busting on trolls to tweet the news, “Gang, trying to keep surprises, but this is about to leak, so I’ll tell you myself: The awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!

Weaver has already said she’d like a cameo, so it was only a matter of Paul Feig realizing, “Holy sh*t, the Gatekeeper wants to be in my movie.” We don’t know yet if Weaver is reprising her previous character or will show up as somebody else (probably someone else), but she joked earlier this year that she could play the librarian. Maybe we’ll get lucky and Zuul will have a cameo…
