‘Star Wars’ And ‘Batman V Superman’ Meet In These Mashup Videos Tweeted By Zack Snyder

Say what you will about Zack Snyder (most of us have), but the guy does have a pleasingly dorky quality to him. You can tell he’s genuinely excited to be doing his superhero movies, unlike, say, Michael Bay, who just sees the Transformers or Ninja Turtles as an excuse to film explosions and girls leaning over car hoods. Snyder is also clearly excited about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, because he’s spent the last day posting Star Wars/Batman v Superman mashups to Twitter.

First up, we have Ben Affleck/Bruce Wayne staring down Darth Vader. I’m pretty sure Batman will fight Darth Vader on screen sometime in my lifetime. Hopefully Zack Snyder doesn’t direct it.

Next up, we have a recognizable scene from the Batman v Superman trailers, enhanced with X-wing fighters.

That second clip required some actual special effects work. In other words, Zack Snyder went down to the guys working on Batman v Superman and was all, “Hey, could you take the afternoon off and make me a meme?” The pressures of working for a Hollywood FX studio in 2015.

Zack Snyder better hope all the nerds out there are done re-watching The Force Awakens by the time Batman v Superman hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
