‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ Writer Needs Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s Help

Back in April, the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim did quite a bit for the renewed cinematic adventures of Lucasfilm’s Disney-bound universe. The second teaser for The Force Awakens is the most obvious news nugget, but there was plenty of information about Monsters and Godzilla director Gareth Edwards’s anthology film, Star Wars: Rogue One.

The official panel with Edwards confirmed much of what was already known. Meanwhile, writer Chris Weitz was busy revising Gary Whitta’s script elsewhere. With past credits that include About a Boy (film and television series) and The Golden Compass, Weitz’s was an interesting choice. But if his latest tweet is any indication, there’s a good chance that the first Star Wars anthology film is in capable hands:

That’s right, folks. Weitz needs some help brushing up on his astrophysics, so he decided to ask none other than Neil deGrasse Tyson for help — via Twitter, no less.

Tyson hasn’t answered yet, and according to his list of followed accounts, he and Weitz aren’t connected. This means the two aren’t direct messaging each other like besties at the moment. But this doesn’t mean that Tyson won’t answer, or that the two won’t be put in touch with one another via some other means yet unknown to mere laymen and women.
