Chris Hemsworth Announced The Start Of Shooting On ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ By Showing Off An Unusual Set Perk

Thor: Ragnarok is going to answer the question everyone’s had since Captain America: Civil War: What’s been happening with Thor and Bruce Banner on their intergalactic road trip? We won’t see the answer for a little while yet, but Chris Hemsworth announced that filming had started as of July 4, and did so by pointing out what he insists is one of the perks for the job.

Yes, apparently, part of being the God of Thunder from Nordic myth is that you get a roller coaster built next to your trailer. To be honest, though, we’re mildly skeptical of Hemsworth’s claim that production built the ride just for him. Come on, you know Mark Ruffalo wanted in on that action.

If you’re wondering what’s really going on, the movie is being filmed at sound stages located next to Warner Bros. Movie World, an Australian amusement park. We’re looking forward to Hemsworth inevitably sneaking into the park in full Thor garb.

While he was at it, Hemsworth also uploaded a photo of his first day of shooting with Taika Waititi, who you’d be forgiven for thinking is an alias of Robert Downey, Jr.

We have a while yet before we see this buddy comedy in action, but it looks like it’ll be worth it. Thor: Ragnarok is arriving Nov. 3, 2017.
