Tracy Morgan Is ‘Picking Up The Pieces’ And Going On A Cross-Country Comedy Tour

After a 2014 accident that nearly claimed his life, Tracy Morgan has been working hard to recover from the traumatic injuries he sustained when a Wal-Mart truck collided with his vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident claimed the life of his close friend James “Jimmy Mack” McNair, and it was believed that Tracy would never be able to perform again.

The comedian has made an incredible recovery, recently reuniting with his former 30 Rock cast mates during his triumphant return to the Saturday Night Live stage. Morgan also found his way back to stand up, performing at the Comedy Cellar and The Stand in New York. In what seemed impossible mere months ago, Morgan is now launching a full-on comedy tour:

The tour kicks off in Hammond, New Jersey in February 2016, and the aptly-named “Picking Up The Pieces” tour will take him across the country all the way to Hawaii, and up into parts of Canada as well. More dates and cities are set to be announced, so keep an eye on the official website here.

Morgan shows no signs of slowing down upon his return. Besides his comedy tour, Morgan reportedly has a pilot in the works for FXX, and will star alongside Charlie Sheen, Christina Hendricks and Ice Cube in the big screen comedy Fist Fight, due out in 2016.
