Warner Bros. Is Reportedly Seeking To Bring Back ‘Harry Potter’ For A New Trilogy

The global phenomenon that is the Harry Potter universe doesn’t appear to be diminishing anytime soon. There are three new e-books about to be released, a smash hit West End play, and the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film on the horizon. Heck, even Fantastic Beasts is getting a sequel. Warner Bros. is hoping to ake the magic happen once again (eh? ehhhhh?) by bringing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to the big screen.

According to The NY Daily News, Warner Bros. has plans for expanding the sequel into three separate follow-up films, and they’re desperate to have Daniel Radcliffe on board. That could, however, prove more difficult than they’re hoping for:

“Warners is secretly working on getting the movie rights and a screenplay settled, and of course in their minds only one man should be Harry,” according to a well-placed Hollywood source. “However he has made it clear that his mind is certainly not focused on returning to the role anytime soon — and that could be until he hits 40.”

What do you think? Will Harry Potter fans be willing to embrace a new bespectacled Boy Who Lived as long as they get more movies? Or will it just not be the same without the OG HP?
