Did U2 Cancel Their ‘Tonight Show’ Residency Because Someone Is Trying To Kill Bono?

Last week, a door on Bono’s private jet ripped off while mid-air. He “cheated death,” which is the public relations version of, “someone’s trying to kill the U2 singer.” While biking in New York this weekend, he hurt his arm, an injury that paves the way for Ireland’s second most famous band, the Cranberries, to play Fallon (hopefully). The suspects include anyone who’s ever listened to U2.

It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time – we’re one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We’re sure he’ll make a full recovery soon, so we’ll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding. (Via)

Who is this masked man or woman trying to “take care of” Bono? I’m not saying it’s the host of a popular comedy podcast and star of an NBC sitcom in its final season, but, well, I do know they’re super upset they haven’t received any f*cking t-shirts yet…
