Today’s Dumb Teens Can’t Sing Mariah Carey And Boyz II Men’s ‘One Sweet Day’

For 16-straight weeks, “One Sweet Day,” Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s pop ballad to end all pop ballads, was the No. 1 song in the country, the longest streak in Billboard Hot 100 history. To put that number into perspective, it peaked on Dec. 2, 1995 and didn’t give up its chart-topping title until March 23, when Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” took over. By August, “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)” was No. 1, and the country turned to garbage.

Case in point, teenagers today can’t place “One Sweet Day” because teenagers are dumb (not being alive in 1995 is no excuse). Take a look at this:
