Azealia Banks is known more for her Twitter beefing than her music. So, it was a foregone conclusion that she would weigh in on the Twitter feud between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

First, a little backstory. Nicki Minaj felt like she was snubbed when her record-breaking video for “Anaconda” and her Beyoncé collab “Feeling Myself” weren’t nominated for the Video of The Year award at this year’s VMAs.

Minaj vented on Twitter, all but saying “a white artist would have gotten the nod.”

Taylor Swift took this as a personal slight and shot at Nicki, creating a feud that has taken over all corners of the Internet.

Now, Banks has jumped in to state Nicki’s point in blunter terms than Barbie ever would.

This isn’t the first time that Banks has addressed privilege in the music industry, and we’re willing to bet it won’t be the last.

Not everyone was as charged in their response to the feud. Aaron Paul offered up a delicious-sounding peace summit for the two pop starlets.

If you dig deeper into Banks’ tweets this week, this reaction is par for the course. She’s already announced she’s leaving the label that freed Broke with Expensive Taste and jumped on the Ghostface/Action Bronson beef.
