Doug Funnie Rapping ‘Trap Queen’ To Patti Mayonnaise Works Almost Too Well

There’s little room for debate that 2015 has been the year of the “Trap Queen.” Though the hit may have dropped late last year, Fetty Wap‘s runaway single has spent the better part of this year capturing the attention of locker rooms, interviews, and even Kate Hudson’s house. Probably not the intended target for the drug-dealing love theme, but that’s what makes a surprise hit great.

So, it comes as little surprise that the internet has decided to make a remix video starring, perhaps, the most far away person from the trap: Nickelodeon’s Doug. Created by Vulture, the video of the Nicktoon syncs up near-perfectly with the trap lyrics — though, there may be some confusion about exactly what type of “pies” are being cooked up. To be fair, it was a kid’s show. What could they possibly have done?

Either way, the people of the internet have yet again delighted us with a mashup of two things that aren’t relevant to each other being surprisingly congruent. At least the creator of this knew better to use only clips from the original Nickelodeon version of Doug. To HELL with the “new” Doug from ABC’s One Saturday Morning. Long-sleeve shirts? Get the f*ck out of here! It’s infuriating just thinking about it.
