Adele and Drake are paragons of unrequited longing and emotional vulnerability, two sides of the same sad coin. Their massive hits “Hello” and “Hotline Bling” currently sit at No. 1 and 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. In that context, Adele’s comments that she wants to hop on a remix of Drake’s memeable monster of a track make quite a bit of sense.
Adele revealed that she wants in on the “you, you, youuu” action in an interview with Canada’s eTalk. The 25 singer revealed that she’s a huge fan and really wants in on an official remix (no freestyles for the Queen of Heartbreak).
“I really want us to do an official remix. I love Drake. I love Drake so much,” she said. “I even got the coat that’s in the video. I got it delivered the other day, I ordered it. The red one.”
Drake added fuel to the fire by posting a comic of what appears to be him and Adele together. Drake is wearing the “Hotline Bling” jacket and holding an iPhone while Adele is rendered in black-and-white holding a landline.

Adele has been regularly sampled by rappers from Childish Gambino to Lil Wayne (and once did a song with Tyga), so the connection is there. And there’s no more fitting rapper this side of Yung Lean for her to jump on a track with.
