Every year we close out the summer with one of the wildest award shows around, the MTV Video Music Awards. 2016’s VMAs will likely see some drama between last year’s highly nominated artist Taylor Swift and her new arch-nemesis Kim Kardashian, or maybe Taylor and Kanye will add to their already rocky VMA timeline. Either way, keep an eye on Taylor Swift. This year’s ceremony will take place on August 28 and returns to New York City for the first time since 2013’s show in Brooklyn.

It should come as no surprise that Beyonce leads this year’s VMAs with 11 nominations for videos from her Lemonade album. Right behind her with eight nominations is Adele, and even Kanye West got a few nods for this year’s awards for his controversial clip “Famous.” Surprisingly, Taylor Swift got zero VMA nominations this year.
