ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, Of All People, Makes First Boston Marathon Joke On Live TV

ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, who is not, I repeat, is NOT Gary Oldman, was on BBC Breakfast this morning to talk about his money, money, money career when the conversation turned to how he stays so youthful looking at 67 years old. The answer should have been, “Sleeping with Agnetha Fältskog helps,” but instead, with a sheepish smile, he said, “Well, I don’t know, running is good unless you’re in the Boston Marathon,” before adding, “Which is terrible.”

There’s nothing particularly scandalous about the quote (it’s scientifically impossible to get mad at someone named “Björn”), but the clip is notable because if you know anyone who picked Björn Ulvaeus in the “Who’s Going to Make the First Boston Marathon Joke on Live TV?” pool, you now have a very rich friend.
