One of my life’s dreams is to go on a cross-country road trip with James Corden so we can throw on our playlists and sing all of today’s and yesterday’s hits. This is, unfortunately, a dream indefinitely deferred since I get car sick easily, and, oh yeah, I’m a nobody. But living vicariously though the artists that do get to yuck it up with James is just as good, I guess. Especially when the biggest music star on the planet steps into the vehicle to ride shotgun.
This coming Wednesday, The Late Late Show host travels across the pond for a brand-new segment of Carpool Karaoke, featuring the one and only Adele. Of course, the worldwide smash “Hello” is rife with joke material which Corden uses awesomely. “Hello? It’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet,” Corden says in the LULZ-y open to the clip of Adele’s first Late Late show appearance.
