Watch This Sneak Peek Of Adele’s New Song ‘When We Were Young’

The entire universe has gone so crazy over Adele’s runaway single “Hello” — just check the streaming records for proof — that they probably forgot that there’s a whole album to go along with the debut single. We are nearly through the mournful looking glass with only a few days until the release of 25, Adele’s third studio album, on Nov. 20. With that news in mind, we now have an extended preview of another great track.

In a sneak peek of a pretty in-depth interview for 60 Minutes in Australia, the English singer gives a powerful performance of her newest track “When We Were Young.” Co-written with indie rocker Tobias Jesso Jr., and produced by mega producer Ariel Rechtshaid, it seems to be a bit of a departure from the sorrow of “Hello.”

Here on “When We Were Young,” Adele is less woeful and more of a fool for love — aren’t we all? “Oh, I’m so mad/ I’m getting old, it makes me reckless/ It was just like a movie/ it was just like a song/ when we were young,” she effortlessly croons in the clip. The track sounds pretty great, and thankfully it shows that 25 won’t all be bad news and music to weep to. No one should be so sad for so long.
