Anderson .Paak And Knxwledge Pay Homage To The Film ‘Paid In Full’ In Their ‘Scared Money’ Video

After teasing out a short clip on social media yesterday, NxWorries has just shared a brand new video for their song “Scared Money,” from their joint project Yes Lawd! The film, starring both Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge is styled as an homage to the classic ‘0os film Paid In Full that was produced by Jay Z and Damon Dash and starred Wood Harris and Regina Hall and also featured a short turn from Camron. In a bit of a full-circle twist, that movie took it’s title from a project by another duo, Eric B. and Rakim and their 1987 masterpiece by the same name.

Just like the movie Paid In Full, “Scared Money” is set back in the late, 1980s. Both .Paak and Knxwledge pal around in their finest bucket hats, Kangols and Adidas leisure wear, while throwing around stacks of cash, picking up their dry-cleaning and eating Chinese food. Even more tantalizing, near the end of the video, there’s a section that contains a remix of the song “Best One,” produced by the duo that’s set to be included on their forthcoming, full-length Yes Lawd! remix album. This is understandably great news for fans of the duo. Their debut album was considered by many to be one of the best releases of 2016.
