Beach House Played A Dreamy Cover Of Weezer’s ‘Undone – The Sweater Song’

What do Beach House and Weezer have in common? Not much, honestly. One’s from Baltimore; the other, Los Angeles. One’s doing their best work now; the other, the 1990s. One named a recent album Depression Cherry; the other makes me depressed with song titles like “Where’s My Sex?” and “The Girl Got Hot.” But they do share one similarity: Sweaters.

Go to a Beach House concert in the fall or winter or, hell, even spring and summer, and you’re bound to see hundreds of sweaters. Meanwhile, Weezer wrote an entire song about them. Comfy forces collided last night in Luxembourg, when Beach House played a dreamy cover of “Undone – The Sweater Song.” It makes more sense than if they had done “Surf Wax America.” I’m almost certain Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally have never actually been in the sun, let alone gone surfing.
