Every week, BEWARE Bowdon scours the web to weed out the dimes from the duds and share the wealth via BEWARE’s Block, a collection of eight buzzing tracks from artists currently breaking ground in their respective genres.

Tate Tucker – “Just Wanna”

The beat on Tate Tucker’s “Just Wanna” is enough to earn your ear, by itself. Between the simplistic lead melody and the key progressions on the hook, the track is extremely addictive at its core. Yet, Tucker only adds to the addictive properties of the track with his confident singing and wide range of flows, offering timely vibes that warrant plenty of replays and will have you waking up singing about backwoods.

TYuS – “My Way” Video

Forget all the scantily clad, beautiful females gracing TYuS’ “My Way” video for just a moment. Don’t let their natural elegance make you lose sight of how fresh this pulsating R&B record is, complete with intoxicating vocals and building production that culminate into a track that’s got radio written all over it. Not the most original record, but a hit nonetheless.

Kooley High – “Alone.Rx” (Prod. by Sinopsis)

Casually cool vibes resonate throughout “Alone.Rx” from Kooley High and producer Sinopsis, putting listeners in a loose, positive mood immediately. The bars are on point too, as the North Carolina rhymers flow flawlessly over the breezy production and offer an ideal backdrop for driving down an open highway at speeds that warrant some flashing lights.

WillTheRapper – “Pull Up Hop Out” Video

Prime Feat. UFO FEV, Lightbourne And Willis Brook – “Hip-Hop”

Everything about the video for Prime’s “Hip-Hop” is big. From the massive, stirring horns that intro the track to the city-wide stroll that drives the clip, this visual offers a lot of reasons to be impressed, showing strong bars and a good eye can still stand alone. Prime’s THROUGH MY EYES drops Oct. 28.

dopeSMOOTHIES – “Top 5” (Prod. by SHAQ P)

We’ve been supporting dopeSMOOTHIES for a hot minute now and the versatile MC’s track record only continues to fall into place further. Taking a more melodic approach on his new single “Top 5,” the rising talent offers A1 vibes that are bound to attract fans from both sexes, showing he’s got the ability to drop tunes that mix well with his the best from his contemporaries. Check out more fresh tracks from dS when his new Send All Your Hate Mail project drops on November 16.

Fatt Father – “Shabazz’s Gospel” (Prod. by D.R.U.G.S. Beats)

While many might not be familiar with the name, Fatt Father is not new to the Detroit scene. For anyone just now being introduced to the former member of the Fat Killahz, “Shabazz’s Gospel” couldn’t be a better jump off point, as the skilled Motor City MC uses his always visual wordplay to deliver various heartbreaking stories that have calloused his soul over the years. Like the man himself, Fatt’s track carries a lot of weight and definitely warrants excitement for the release of his upcoming Veteran’s Day project on November 11.

Boom Bip – “The Trip” Video

High-end visuals can make music soooo much better and Boom Bip’s clip for “The Trip” is a prime example. The sinister visual throws viewers directly into the middle of a bloody, horror scene, given no context but a moody digital journey that complements the clip beautifully. That’s a good thing, because as it turns out, the clip is part of a psychological thriller Boom Bip is scoring called Sun Choke, directed by Ben Cresciman. Total mindf*ck right here, a stand-out trait for any solid video, whether scoring a movie or not.
