Justin Bieber Shows His Softer Side By Singing Along To Taylor Swift’s ‘Teardrops On My Guitar’

Despite winning big at The Billboard Music Awards this weekend, Justin Bieber wrote a long-winded Instagram post today about how “award shows are so hollow”. Hate to break it to you Biebs, but you’re not the first artist to have that profound realization. Bieber was still in diapers, or maybe Pull-Ups when Fiona Apple said something similar at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards when she won the award for Best New Artist. However, she said it directly at the audience. Bieber kind of copped out with his rant, but apparently he wants his fans to see the softer side of himself today and maybe forget what he said last night.

Justin Bieber Instagrammed a short black and white video of himself in the car with his friend Ryan Good singing emotionally along to Taylor Swift’s 2006 song “Teardrops On My Guitar”. What is strange isn’t the black and white filter that makes it similar to Extreme’s “More Than Words” video, but the way Justin smirks at the camera and the fact that he and Swift are hardly friends. So perhaps this video has a different meaning that just a dude and his boy chilling out in a car listening to Taylor Swift acting all brooding.

Bieber’s behavior has been bizarre for quite some time. From tiny tattoos on his hairless face to basically giving his fans the middle finger, what Bieber will say or do next while he chugs along on his “Purpose World Tour” is a anybody’s guess.
