Britney Spears’ VMAs Performance Receives A Stylish Video Announcement

Britney Spears will be performing at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, bringing her Vegas stage show with her mixed with a dash of history. You know as much because a new video touches on all of Spear’s VMA hallmarks, like the python from her 2001 performance, locking lips with Madonna in a 2003 performance with Christina Aguilera, and a strip tease performance in 2000 that seemed to kick the whole thing off.

The last time the singer performed at the show was nearly a decade ago with a performance that apparently left the singer embarrassed according to People:

“She was extremely nervous. It’s been awhile since she’s done this, and she was performing in front of all her peers, on live TV. She just got out there and froze,”

It didn’t help that Sarah Silverman came on after her performance and blistered Spears with her opening monologue. But now she’s ready to return and perform again, taking the stage with G-Eazy to perform her latest single, “Make Me,” ahead of its release at the end of the month.

It’s a busy time for Spears and the promotion of her new album. We’ve seen her invade Jimmy Kimmel’s bedroom and we know she’ll be doing Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, making the VMA performance the grand show before her new album hits Apple Music. Not bad for a semi-comeback.
