The ‘Radio Disney’ Version Of This Cannibal Corpse Song Is Hilariously Evil And Upbeat

Cannibal Corpse are one of the most brutal bands of all time. The Buffalo death-metal legends play hard, uncompromising music with lyrics that are often extremely disturbing and shocking. To say they are not for kids would be an understatement. Which, of course, is why someone decided to modify a Cannibal Corpse track to make it sound like something you’d hear on Radio Disney.

Yes, the band’s 2009 track “Evisceration Plague” was transformed into a kiddie-pop song by Andy Rehfeldt, a comedic musician with a sizable following on YouTube. Interestingly, the song begins sounding a bit like early prog, with a bass-y vibe that could have fit on, say, Yes’s Fragile. Once the lyrics kick in, however, the whole thing becomes joyfully ridiculous, as Rehfeldt sings about “internal organs altered by the disease” in a voice that sounds a bit like Kermit The Frog. The whole thing is surreal and off-the-wall, but if Rehfeldt wanted to, he could’ve gone even more disturbing with some of the other songs in the Cannibal Corpse songbook. After all, “Evisceration Plague” is dark, but this is the band that once recorded a song called “Entrails Ripped From A Virgin’s C***.” With Cannibal Corpse, things can always get more horrific, so maybe it’s best he stopped on this track.
