Chance The Rapper And DJ Khaled Tease A Joint Project On The VMA Red Carpet

The major-est of keys might be coming our way. In an interview during the 2016 MTV VMAs pre-show, Chance The Rapper and DJ Khaled revealed that they might have a new project on the way.

“The cameras are on. It’s the VMAs, it’s the big stage. I’m gonna put you on the spot,” Khaled said. “Is DJ and Chance the Rapper, are we going to make a record together in the near future?”

Chance the Rapper was more than open to the idea.

“Oh yeah, that’s a major key right there,” said the Coloring Book rapper.

That’s far from the only thing that Chance revealed in his brief interview with Khaled. He pushed his independent and self-made aesthetic and told the host why he chooses to release his projects for free.

“It’s all about access. To me, everybody needs access,” he said before explaining the reasoning behind the title Coloring Book. “It’s adolescent lessons for everybody. Stuff that you learned when you were a young kid that you need to go back and learn again.”

Chance The Rapper is intimately involved with the VMAs, he even has his own VMA sticker, but there’s really only one performance that he’s here for. Chano told the world that he’s waiting on RiRi in an announcement that came complete with prop buttons. Check that out below:
