As the days go on, the story gets stranger in the situation involving Chris Brown allegedly threatening Baylee Curran with a gun. While some have come out in either support or denial of Brown committing the potential crime of assault with a deadly weapon, many more have condemned him because of his criminal past. Now, a friend of Curran’s who was her ride to and from the residence where all this took place has a story, and he suggests it could make things murky.

Christian Bonilla spoke with TMZ Live on Wednesday and he told Harvey and company that he drove Curran to Brown’s house in Tarzana along with a few other women, but decided to leave early. In his absence, as you may know, is when she alleges that the multi-platinum artist brandished a weapon and pointed it in her face following her handling his jewelry. But this is where the stories divulge. Bonilla suggests that some time during the night, Curran texted him a number of times including one that said “this motherf*cker’s about to go down.” While the timeline of the events isn’t quite cemented yet, it seems that he’s suggesting it could have been sent before or after. Especially as someone who claims to be a friend of Curran’s, it’s strange, with Bonilla adding that she’s “not someone [he’d] want to cross.”

It adds an additional wrinkle to an increasingly strange case that we seem to have less of a handle on, in spite of the information we continue to learn.
