Chris Brown’s moving past the circle of chaos that’s surrounding by doing what he does best: delivering hot music. Following the release of “What Would You Do” and “Lady in the Glass Dress,” here Breezy is again with another audio morsel for his fans, “Keep You In Mind,” with a special assist from Bryson Tiller.
The song is actually a cover of Guordan Banks’ original that charted in 2015. But what Brown and Tiller bring to the track is their combined, bad boys of R&B chemistry. The two have worked together previously with Pen Griffey being featured on the “Back to Sleep (Remix)” and having written the song “Proof” on Brown’s Royalty album. Here, the seductive, pulsating appeal of the production allows both artists to slide into a comfort zone with their vocals. Banks’ original was already brilliant, all Brown and his TRAPSOUL counterpart do is add in their flourishes to the mix.
Even though he’s had his share of drama in recent weeks, Brown seems to be determined to Brown’s currently at work on his next full length project, tentatively titled Heartbreak on a Full Moon. Currently, the project doesn’t have a set release date, but at least fans have jams like “Keep You in Mind” to hold them down in the interim.
