‘Curly Sue’ Star Alisan Porter Is Auditioning For ‘The Voice’ Now And Boy, Has She Ever Got A Set Of Pipes

The last time we heard from Alisan Porter, the child actress best known for her spunky titular role in the 1991 movie Curly Sue, was two years ago when she opened up about her struggles with alcohol. We’re happy to report that the married, 34-year-old mother of two is still doing great these days, and is hoping to return to her true passion of singing.

Since Porter has been out of show business so long it would understandably be difficult to jump back in at this point, so luckily she managed to score herself a blind audition before the coaches on The Voice, when the singing competition returns for its 10th season on Monday. And thank goodness she did, because can this lady ever sing.

In this sneak peek of Monday’s show, Porter nails a performance of “Blue Bayou,” completely blowing away the coaches who — even when they’re allowed to turn around — at first have no idea that none other than Curly Sue herself is standing before them. And once they find out it’s an all-out war of wooing to see which one of the coaches, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams, will get to have her on their team. Better late than never, right?
