Drake loves sports, even though his promising basketball career was cut short when he was shot by a classmate. Or maybe that was an episode of Degrassi. He’s hosted the ESPYs. He’s the “global ambassador” of the Toronto Raptors. He seems to be a fan of basically every athlete ever. That includes Didier Drogba, the legendary soccer player. Now, Drake has gotten the chance to score a goal against Drogba.
A lot of caveats go into this, of course. One, Drogba is 37 and spent his entire career as a forward, not a goalkeeper. Two, when you watch the video of Drake scoring a penalty kick, you realized he “scored” on Drogba like Vladamir Putin “scores” in various hockey games in Russia. “Bro millions of people needed you happy to perform that’s why I let you score,” says Drogba in the caption on the Instagram video he posted. Still, Drake is probably pretty enthused about scoring a goal against a player he considers himself the biggest fan of, even though, you know, the guy isn’t a goalie.
