Every Celebrity Mentioned In Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ Is Now Dead

In her 1990 hit single “Vogue,” Madonna rap-sings 16 pop culture icons who had style and grace, ladies with attitudes and fellows who were in the mood (I’d say they let their body move to the music, but Marlon Brando was either too stubborn or physically unable to sway in a rhythmic manner). She wrote the song with Shep Pettibone, and the lucky few who made it were chosen because they symbolize everything people get nostalgic for when they think about Hollywood between the 1920s and 1950s.

So, white people. But now that Lauren Bacall has died, no one Madonna namechecked is alive.

Madonna is Arya Stark, and this is her kill list. Mission accomplished?
