Watch NSYNC’s ‘It Gonna Be Me’ Video Get Re-Imagined By Demi Lovato And Fall Out Boy

It’s not May yet, but “It’s Gonna Be Me” is the talk of the Internet.

NSYNC’s 2000 hit single from No Strings Attached, the previous titleholder for most albums sold in its first week of release, provided the inspiration for Fall Out Boy and Demi Lovato’s “Irresistible” music video. It takes place in the same toy store as “It’s Gonna Be Me,” in the “dollar bin full of toys that no one really wanted,” according to Fall Out Boy. “It’s about the toys no one ever wanted come to life.” What a tragic metaphor for Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, who took time off from shooting Dead 7 and watching On the Line on repeat (oh wait, that’s me) to appear in the music video.

“Irresistible” was directed by Wayne Isham, the same guy behind “It’s Gonna Be Me,” as well as Mötley Crüe’s “Girls, Girls, Girls,” Ricky Martin’s “Ricky Martin,” and Queensrÿche’s Operation: Livecrime concert film. If there’s a higher power out there, I beg thee: Please don’t let this be the last time Chris Kirkpatrick, “She Bangs,” and Queensrÿche are mentioned in the same post. Amen.
