Fall Out Boy Is Reuniting. In Other News, Fall Out Boy Broke Up?

Take that, My Bloody Valentine, Destiny’s Child, and the Postal Service, you just got Wentz’d by Fall Out Boy, who will reunite for a new album and…wait, Fall Out Boy broke up? Technically, no, they were on “indefinite hiatus,” but really, yes. And now they’re back with a new album, the humbly titled, Save Rock and Roll.

Fall Out boy swore they weren’t breaking up back in 2009, calling their parting of ways an “indefinite hiatus.”
Well, they stuck to their word, because on Monday (February 4) the group announced details of their upcoming fifth studio album and a reunion tour that will kick off in their hometown of Chicago.

Their bombastic comeback single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up),” hit iTunes on Monday and their fifth full-length album, Save Rock And Roll, is due out on May 7. The boys are wasting no time in celebrating their get back, with an intimate show scheduled for their hometown of Chicago on Monday night at Subterranean, followed by another in New York on Tuesday at Webster Hall Studio and a third in Los Angeles on Thursday at the Roxy. Real talk: “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” is really catchy. Realer talk: I have no clue what the lyrics to “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” are. Something about dropping a whore?
