Final Track: 7 Must-Hear Songs Of The Week

It’s impossible to cover each bit of new music that comes out during the week, so every Friday, we’ll be doing an end of the week music roundup. It’s called Final Track, and we’ll count off a few songs released during the week that are worth giving a listen to. (Banner via Merge)

Today, we’ve got selections from Hospitality, the Autumn Defense, Childish Gambino, and more.

“I Miss Your Bones” by Hospitality

Charming indie-rockers Hospitality are due to release a new album, Trouble, in January, and this week they released its first single, the mournful “I Miss Your Bones.” We missed you, too.

“Royals (Remix)” by Raekwon

The biggest song in the country, Lorde’s “Royals,” gets a (satirically hypocritical?) Wu-Tang remix.

“Loot” by Obie Trice

“Tu Ne Peux Rien Me Dire” by the Hood Internet

Kanye’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” + Mogwai’s post-rock = the Hood Internet’s latest mashup masterpiece.

“None of This Will Matter” by the Autumn Defense

When not tearing through “Impossible Germany” for the 50,285th time, a.k.a. when Jeff Tweedy goes on a solo tour, Wilco’s John Stirratt and Pat Sansone play as the Autumn Defense, their sweetly pleasant sideproject. Here’s the vibrant “None of This Will Matter” from their fifth album, the aptly-titled Fifth.

“Melrose” by Childish Gambino

Another listen to the upcoming Because the Internet, this one ripe with EMOTION.

“Just Another Girl” by the Killers

As previously mentioned, the Killers are releasing a greatest hits album, which includes a couple of new songs, including the grandiose “Just Another Girl,” which sounds like it could fill seven stadiums.
