Paris duo Tha Trickaz have managed to achieve something great here. While, perhaps, the day of the mashup album has long come and gone, there’s still something so electric when a live DJ performance can manage to flip multiple songs seamlessly. Here, on a studio-recorded video of their “Push More Buttons” set, they take that idea and amplify it by 10,000.
Composed of 62 samples, the group promises to release the full list once their video passes 100,000 views. Just from one viewing, there are so many immediately recognizable songs from the Beastie Boys, Dr. Dre, Michael Jackson, Eminem, The Chemical Brothers, Justice and movies like Star Wars, Robocop, Knight Rider and Batman, to name a few.
