After months of speculation, Janet Jackson finally confirmed she and her billionaire husband are expecting their first child together. The news comes six months after the singer put her tour on hold to focus on planning a family.
People delivered the exclusive news by sharing a statement from Jackson on behalf of her and her husband Wissam Al Mana. “We thank God for our blessing,” the singer, 50, was quoted as saying. Her words included a photo of her dressed in white, braids flowing back and a nice little baby bump showing proudly. The report included a source close to the family saying Jackson was “super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well.”
The baby will be Jackson’s first child with her husband. The couple has been married since 2012. She is the youngest sibling of the famed Jackson family.
Back in April, the singer put a halt to her Unbreakable world tour. At the time, she told fans, “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.” Since that announcement, she’s kept a relatively low profile from the public eye with the new shared pic being the first sighting of the mom-to-be in quite some time.
