Justin Bieber might be setting his sights on a possible Grammy in his near future, but he had some more troubling news before a concert in Barcelona on Tuesday. TMZ shared the video above showing Bieber being approached by a fan who decides to reach in through the window and grab at Bieber. This is a bad choice, forcing Bieber to defend himself and punch the fan as the car speeds away. The aftermath shows the mob of fans in shock as the overeager fan is bleeding and showing his wounds to those around him.
This isn’t the first time that the pop superstar has struggled with aggression in public, and he’s had his fair share of run-ins with the paparazzi over the years.
You can’t blame Bieber for defending himself, though. Security wasn’t around to keep the fans back and the guy who ended up reaching into the car was clearly not interested in holding back. Why the window was down is up in the air, but that’s no reason to lose all sense of boundaries and try to grab someone in the face, even if that someone is Justin Bieber. Dealing with this kind of constant attention can’t be great for mental health, as this week has shown.
