Lady Gaga Is Suing A Company Over A Breast-Milk-Flavored Ice Cream

Lady Gaga has filed a cease-and-desist to stop the sale of a breast-milk-flavored ice cream which bares her name in the U.K. The Licktators, the same ice creamery who gave Blur a delicious treat of their own to celebrate their reunion last year, created a new flavor in honor of the royal baby. The ice cream in question, Royal Baby Gaga, is enough to make the Artpop singer to send an injunction to stop sales of the dessert.

Originally launched in 2011 to coincide with the birth of the first royal baby, Royal Baby Gaga was created and sold to raise awareness for breastfeeding and support breastfeeding charities (which exist, apparently!). Oh and for those wondering, yes, there is real breast milk in there. Here is the recipe:

250ml (8fl oz) Breast Milk
125ml (4fl oz) Double Cream
2 Free Range Egg Yolks
88g (3 1/4 oz) Caster Sugar
Pinch of Sea Salt
1 Vanilla pod, split lengthwise

While the lawsuit says that The Licktators have 14 days to remove the ice cream from stores, Nadine O’Connor from the company isn’t backing down. She told the Mirror, via NME: “We will not be bullied into removing content from social media relating to our product and subsequent media coverage. However, we will send complimentary tubs of our ice cream to Lady Gaga for chilling out to, as a gesture of peace and goodwill.”

It doesn’t sounds like the ice creamery is backing down, so maybe Mother Monster should just relent and have some mother’s milk ice cream. Or not, it sounds pretty gross.
