Generally speaking, being a famous singer seems like it’s mostly cool, but there can be significant drawbacks when listeners form unhealthy relationships with celebrities. For example, Lana Del Rey has a stalker who was recently apprehended by police in Orlando after receiving a tip that he intended to kidnap the singer.
That’s a pretty scary experience, and Lana was understandably shaken up by it. She expressed as much when she took the stage at Philips Arena in Atlanta last night, her first show since the incident: She was noticeably emotional when she addressed the crowd and talked about what happened, and said while trying to hold back tears that she didn’t expect to be so emotional:
“I am actually just feeling a little more emotional than I thought after what happened in Orlando, but I just really wanted to be here with you guys tonight. And actually I was feeling totally fine, and then just got, I don’t know, a little bit nervous when I got on stage. So I just want to say that I am super happy to be with you guys, and if I’m a little bit feathery, just bear with me.”
