Liam Payne And Quavo’s ‘Strip That Down’ Is The Most Fun Song From A One Direction Member Yet

One Direction‘s split has only highlighted the mercenary nature of their formation. The band that was smashed together on The X Factor to crank out hits has splintered into every conceivable direction. Harry Styles makes mostly inoffensive classic rock karaoke, Zayn Malik makes blown-out R&B and now Liam Payne is making Mustardwave club tracks with Quavo. “Strip That Down” is more fun than anything found on Harry Styles or Mind Of Mine, and Payne lays out partying as his mission statement in the track.

“I used to be in 1D, now I’m out free,” he sings on the debut track. “People want me for one thing, that’s not me, I’m not changing the way that I used to be,I just want to have fun and get rowdy.”

The song isn’t a life-changer, but it’s not trying to be. It’s a track partially written by Ed Sheeran with a guest verse from a member of Migos, Quavo,
