Your Favorite Post-Grunge Bands From The ’00s Want To ‘Make America Rock Again’ On A New Tour

Are you ready to rock? I said, are you ready to rock?! No, really, you’ll have to speak up — I can’t hear you over the whining from the Pussy Generation. If rocking so hard that those PC wimps quiver in their cardigans is appealing to you, head to the Running Aces Casino and Racetrack in Columbus, Minnesota tonight, August 4, for the first date on the Make America Rock Again tour. (Yes, this is the real name.) All your favorite post-grunge bands from high school — including Alien Ant Farm, Trapt, and Crazytown — are traveling this once-great country of ours from now until October, playing only the finest civic centers, casinos, and motor speedways.

The promo video is incredible:

As is the tagline:

The Tour that Trumps Them All

As is this comment on the tour’s Reddit:

Once my friend stood in the front row at a free Saliva concert with both his middle fingers up making direct eye contact with the singer because he hated them so much. Security grabbed him and ripped his pants open so the band also got too see all of his junk. (Via)

As are the scheduled performers: Trapt, Saliva, Saving Abel, Alien Ant Farm, Crazytown, 12 Stones, and Tantric, and on select dates, Drowning Pool, P.O.D. and Puddle of Mudd. (Though it’s uncertain if Puddle of Mudd, who were originally part of the tour, are still appearing and interested in making America rock again. That’s probably for the best.) Who do you think headlines? Trapt, right? Or does everyone come out for an all-star performance of “Smooth Criminal”?

There’s only one way to find out. I’ll see you — “you” being Ass Dan — tonight.
