Mariah Carey Billboards For Her Las Vegas Residency Have Been Banned For Being Too Sexy

Mariah Carey is finishing her residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. In order to promote these final shows, billed as Mariah: #1 to Infinity, some billboards were produced. This is not surprising or unusual. Billboards are a great way to advertise stuff, be it a Mariah Carey show or a clown college. However, Carey’s billboards may never see the light of day, because they have been banned for simply being too sexy.

The advertisements in question were to be displayed near both the Burbank and Orange County airports in California, high traffic areas where a lot of people fly into Las Vegas. However, the airports complained about the billboards because they show too much skin.

TMZ explained the problem further, noting “the airports have big issues with Mariah’s boobs, barely covered by a gold sheet. We’re told even Caesars, where Mariah will be performing, wants a censored version of the billboard.” Now that sounds notably sexual. It’s one thing for a couple airports to be uncomfortable with the amount of skin Carey is showing, but if a Vegas casino thinks they are seeing an excessive amount of Carey’s breasts, then these must be some pretty crazy billboards.

Carey, for her part, refuses to alter the billboards. Either we will see as much of her breasts as she desires, or we will not see these billboards at all. Not that Carey necessarily needs the advertising; she is one of the most successful artists of all-time. People will probably find her Vegas shows even without her boob-laden billboard to lure them there.
