If anyone would know a crucifixion when he saw it, it would have to be shock-rocker Marilyn Manson. Manson, who posed for the cover of his album Holy Wood in a crucifixion pose, which was a response to how he felt the media portrayed him, knows a thing or two about the toxicity of the public eye. The dude just wanted to be weird, alright? When it comes to his good pal and sometimes collaborator Johnny Depp, he feels like Depp has been wronged throughout the whole, public divorce with Amber Heard.
Depp, who also fancies himself to be a musician at times, has had a difficult time, that’s for sure, and Manson spoke with The Daily Beast about his friend’s divorce. He, of course, is taking his friends side and believes that the world has wronged Depp throughout this process.
“Lily-Rose is my goddaughter and I was there when [his son] Jack was born, so we go back. Johnny is one of the nicest people that I know—to the extent where it’s almost heartbreaking how kind he is to his friends, and everyone around him. I know that he was completely crucified—unjustly. I would stand by him on anything.”
Now with the divorce finalized, and Heard donating her share of the settlement to charity, everyone should be able to move on from this.
