Metallica Lures ‘Moth Into Flame’ With Their First Performance In ‘Tonight Show’ History

Crossing a big name off the late night circuit rolodex, on Thursday evening, Metallica took the stage of The Tonight Show for the first time ever to promote their upcoming album entitled, Hard Wired…to Self Destruct.

Deeming the iconic rockers, “one of the most influential rock bands in music history,” Jimmy Fallon mirrored the sentiments of those who are likely having a hard time waiting nearly six more weeks for the full album to finally drop.

However, zealous fans were able to get a taste of this highly anticipated new project as Metallica played what will surely be your new favorite scream out loud, head banging bop, “Moth Into Flame” off of their impending album.

Full of electric musical riffs and sharp lyrics, the song is an inherent reminder as to why Metallica has dominated the heavy metal industry for decades now.

Vice President Joe Biden also appeared on Thursday night’s episode of The Tonight Show and gave the legendary rockers a shoutout on Twitter prior to his interview, jokingly calling Metallica his “house band.”

Hard Wired…to Self Destruct is Metallica’s 10th studio album following Death Magnetic from 2008, and will be released in full on November 18 by the group’s independent label, Blackened Recordings.
